With a caller ID and a voicemail system at hand, there's absolutely no obligation to pick up those nuisance calls. Scammers tend to avoid leaving messages, while real callers will drop a line. Personally, I simply ignore these irksome ringers unless I'm in the mood for a bit of fun and want to take the mickey out of them for their shenanigans.

I decided to give them a bell back, and lo and behold, it turns out to be a double glazing company. We've made it crystal clear that we're not interested, yet they persist with these incessant calls. I recently had a rather unsettling experience following a car crash. The individual I spoke with became quite aggressive, expressing frustration over what they deemed a waste of their time. Their foul language and menacing tone really caught me off guard. They insisted on reaching out to me later from their private number. Quite a strange turn of events, to say the least!
