I was expecting a call from a BT technician so I phoned the number back but the voice sounded quite robotic and there was a lot of background noise like a busy call centre. Worried it could be a pricey scam, I ended the call and unplugged my phone from the socket, jotting down when the call started and ended. BT had my mobile but never rang me on it; they emailed to confirm my service was connected without me needing to do anything. I’m signed up to the mailing and phone preference services, so I’m baffled how these firms still manage to pester us.

Some bloke called himself "Rafael" and claimed he was from Microsoft. He called me by name and even knew my postcode. He said my computer was compromised and needed to check my security. I told him I don’t have a computer. Then he asked if I had a laptop, I said no again. He said they already had my details and if I didn’t help, they'd take action. I wasn’t quite sure what he meant but it felt threatening. Then he got all aggressive and shouted, “I can do whatever I like!”

Anyone who starts a call with, "I'm not selling you anything," is almost always trying to sell you something, especially if they keep calling back (I've had about 5 calls from them over the last week). I'd honestly say these "folks" are scammers using annoying tactics to hassle you.

Once again, I received a phone call today from this troublesome company (they called me yesterday as well), even though I had informed them multiple times in the past that my number is registered with TPS and requested them to stop calling me. This time, a gentleman claimed that he wasn't trying to sell anything but still mentioned that he would continue calling me in the future. It baffles me why these individuals persist in making these calls if they are not able to secure a sale. It appears to be nothing more than intentional harassment on their part.

Got a call from this dodgy firm again today, (had one yesterday too) even though I've told them loads of times I'm on the TPS and asked every caller to stop. This time some guy reckoned he wasn’t trying to sell me anything and said they'd keep ringing anyway. I had previously reported this company to the appropriate authorities, which resulted in a few weeks of respite from their incessant calls. However, starting this morning, they have begun contacting again. Nevertheless, I am relieved that at least I have not been subjected to offensive and obscene language like before.

The moment I told the person on the phone my number (which I usually do when I pick up), they just hung up. Maybe the TPS actually does something, or I've been blacklisted. Rather than getting annoyed, I see cold calls like a bit of a game, which helps keep me calm. As for Weathershield external coating - they’re going to be disappointed; my place has huge windows and cement slate cladding.

Got a call from 01827 242928 on my work phone, which is mainly used just for broadband. Usually it's just telemarketers ringing that line. I use a VOIP phone for all business calls. I never pick up the landline, but I always ring 1471 once it stops, then look them up here. Almost always a cold caller or some kind of scam, like 99 out of 100 times!

Got a call from Weathershield once more - the woman claimed I was on the TPS but told me not to fret as she’d get in touch with them since they supposedly had permission to call. I said goodbye, she said, “See you,” and I shot back with “No, you won’t.” Hung up and added the number straight to my block list.

Just got another call from WEATHERSHIELD OF TAMWORTH again, told them I’m not interested in what they’re selling, thanks anyway. Plus, I’ve got a hospital appointment today so I’m tied up. Got a call from 01827 242928. When I asked the woman if she knew about the TPS register, she said she’d never heard of it. I then requested to speak to her manager, and she asked why. I explained that the company ought to be checking the TPS and shouldn’t be contacting me since my number’s on the list. She said she was new. I just want these calls to end, I never pick up unknown numbers but they keep ringing. They never bother leaving a voicemail either. When I did call back, there's this weird, barely understandable message that only lasts a few seconds before it hangs up. Really they should find a way to block these people from accessing your info, even being on the pts list hasn’t done a thing. Properly fed up with it all.

So this young lady, supposedly called Jade from Weatherseal, phoned me all flustered saying they were nearby doing damp checks. I’d already had a full structural survey done before buying my house. I listened politely, but when I asked her to delete my details as I’m signed up to the Telephone Preference Service and Mail Preference Service, she actually called me a div and hung up! That’s hardly professional customer service, is it? Honestly, I’d advise steering well clear of these unprofessional lot.

I’m usually busy at work so I don’t pick up most of these annoying calls. This number in particular has been ringing me non stop for like 4 days now. I always have caller ID and loads of the numbers are totally unfamiliar to me so I just ignore them. My rule is if it’s important, they’ll leave a voicemail, and if they don’t say why they called, then I’m not bothering to ring them back.

Ringed me at 11.30 this morning even though I'm on the TPS. Tried to push some weathercoat wall sealant on me. Claimed their address was Unit 1, Princess Ave, Nuneaton. Refused to say who the managing director was, got a bit snappy, then handed me over to a woman who said she was the manager and then said the address was incorrect! She just hung up when I asked for the right address and the name of the MD. Judging by all the reports here, they clearly have zero respect or intention to stop. Proper disgrace!

Got a call from 01827242928 claiming to be Fortune Weather-proofing. I told them the number is on the Telephone Preference Service list. They didn’t seem to have a clue what TPS even is. If you get calls from live people, make sure to report them to the ICO (assuming you’ve signed up with the TPS already). For silent or dropped calls, head over to OFCOM’s website to report them. Spammers ignore complaints on forums like this but get really bothered when OFCOM or the ICO get involved, which literally only takes a couple of minutes. Oh, and if you haven’t signed up with TPS yet, honestly you’re just asking for it. Don’t expect your phone provider to help much either - they actually profit from selling caller ID services and blocking calls!

Got a pest call from someone claiming to be Weatherproof UK. I looked them up online and their address is Unit 3, office 8, Tamworth b774rp. The phone number they gave was 07584160752. The directors are Ryan Bates and Carl Gallimore, both based in Walsall. Hopefully this info’s useful.

I don't appreciate being called such offensive language, especially considering the events that transpired today. A woman contacted me on my home phone twice, asking for someone named Mr. Marker. However, when I informed her that she had dialed the wrong number, it seemed to raise some tension.

Got a call from a woman earlier, asking for Mr Green. I explained there’s no one by that name here and that she’d dialled a business line, which she did. Told her to take our number off her list, and then she called me rude and said she’d never buy anything from me, which made me chuckle since she had no clue what we even sell and I never said a word about it. Another one blocked for good measure.

A lady rang me and I guessed she was trying to sell cavity wall insulation. I said I wasn't interested, so then she tried to set up an appointment with some sort of wall covering surveyor to see if their wall covering could help protect insulation and cut down heating costs. She kept saying she wasn't selling anything on the phone and claimed she was from a government department called 'HMIP government customs'. I asked about the department and wanted a website to check it out, but she said they didn’t have a website and couldn’t be reached online. What a load of rubbish.

I’ve tried calling a few times, but I’ve got Call Guardian set up and blocked them right after their first ring so the phone never actually buzzes. Yeah, Call Guardian isn’t cheap but honestly it’s totally worth it. It just lets through numbers you’ve put on the safe list, everything else either has to identify themselves, go to voicemail, or it just cuts off.

Got a call from some company claiming they could help save me money on my walls, I guess something to do with cavity insulation. The bloke began going on about how I might have money problems after Christmas, and when I said I wasn’t interested he called me rude. Honestly, these lot should be banned from cold calling.

01827 242928 keeps ringing me every week, been happening since way before August 2016. They’re selling this Cavity wall insulation stuff. They call loads of times a day and don't listen when you say you’re not interested. The person on the phone won’t say which company they’re from and gets rude if you tell them you already have insulation or just don’t want it. Proper annoying cold caller who just won’t take no for an answer.

I have been receiving calls from this particular number consistently in the afternoon, around 4pm. Since I don't recognize the number displayed on my caller ID, I choose not to answer it. There is never a message left on my BT answer service 1571, leading me to believe that it could be a nuisance call. After reading these comments, I see no reason to investigate further and uncover the caller's identity. Thank you.
