Got a voicemail claiming to be from my bank's security team - hung up right away and added them to my block list. Sadly, this isn't the first time; they just ring again from a different number. They really don't give up!

Got this automated call claiming I’d splashed out £500 on my Visa, supposedly on Amazon and eBay. Total rubbish, I haven’t spent a penny!

It's a total bank scam designed to freak you out and get you to ring them. They claim to be from some fraud team at a bank and say you've lost loads of cash, telling you to get in touch to fix it. They don’t mention any specific bank name, and they definitely won't be calling you first.

Before I even got to answer, they’d already hung up. Looked up the number and yep, total scam.

I tried to find out which of my bank accounts was supposedly involved, but the “agent” just said, “Sorry mate, that info’s protected by data laws.” That was the end of it for me - blocked the number straight away.

All through May, pretty much a few times every day, we get calls from this American woman claiming to be from BT bank about fraud. She says Amazon has taken out two big withdrawals. Doesn’t matter if it's me or my partner picking up, the story is always the same. How on earth does she know which bank each of us uses? We just hang up and don’t pay any attention anymore.

I got a voicemail at 11:20 on 27/5/23 about two charges : one for £700 and another for £2000, both said to be from Amazon and some international transfer. The message told me to press 1 if I accept the charges or 2 if I want to talk to an agent. Seems like a scam to me!
