I'm absolutely fed up with these constant calls! Next time, instead of just letting it ring, I reckon I'll pick up and say, "Hello! Thanks for reaching out. Just so you know, this call is currently being monitored, recorded, and reported to the authorities, including the police and BT, for being a nuisance!"

I tend to ignore calls from unfamiliar numbers, and this one showing as Uckfield on my phone has been ringing me incessantly. Living all the way in Scotland, I can’t fathom why someone from Uckfield would be trying to reach me. I’ve no idea who they are or what they want, but after perusing through these comments, I appreciate the heads-up. I’ll definitely be reporting and blocking the number. It's quite unsettling, to be honest; I feel a bit harassed. With all the tech we have nowadays, I can't help but worry about the possibility of my phone being compromised. It's high time action is taken against these bothersome individuals!

I seem to be plagued by this number ringing my mobile incessantly, at least five or six times daily. Quite frustrating, really! How on earth did they get hold of my number? I picked up the phone the first time they called, but there was absolutely no one on the other end. Just a pesky nuisance, so I've decided to ignore their calls altogether. I've lodged a report about the number, yet the calls continue unabated.

I’ve been receiving incessant calls from this nuisance, and I've finally decided to just give them the silent treatment. When on earth will these folks grasp that we have no desire to chat with them? Honestly, it’s quite tedious!

So I looked up this number and found out ITalk does have a site and a phone number - 0333 4141 391. If you ring them, ask to get any of your personal info wiped from their records and also tell them not to pass it on to any other companies. I’m still a bit iffy about whether this lot are legit or not. If anyone could share what they’ve been told on the call, that’d be really helpful. I work with a firm that specialises in removing personal data from databases, so any details about what they say would help me look into things further. Cheers.

So irritating! This "I-talk" lot keep calling trying to get me to switch my provider, asking loads about my bills and if I own the place or hold the account. Honestly, dont give them any info and just put the phone down. Im not even the owner, im from abroad, but these scammers are so annoying!

It's this thing called I talk. I dont usually pick up, just let it ring onto the answerphone. If they begin to leave a message and I fancy chatting, then I do. The reason they dont pick up straight away is cos its all done by a computer. The system calls loads of numbers at once, and when you finally answer it connects you to a call centre person. If you dont answer or its an answerphone, the computer works it out and ends the call.

I keep getting calls from this number time and again. Every time, they insist they're going to set up some call plan for me. I keep saying “no,” but they just continue with their pushy sales pitch, claiming, “Oh yes, we are.” They don’t bother to identify themselves at all. It’s incredibly impolite and downright unprofessional behavior, and they just won’t take a hint and leave me be.

I've lost track of how many times this number has called me, and honestly, I'm done! I have no clue who you are or what you're after. If you're trying to pitch a sale or get me to sign up for something, just know I don't have cash to spare. But what I do have is quite a unique set of skills, skills I've picked up over many years. Skills that make me a real pain for people like you. If you stop calling me, that’ll be the end of it - I won't bother chasing you down. But keep it up, and I'll find a way to make you regret it.

Got a telesales call earlier, didn't even bother picking up and they just hung up straight away. Honestly, any call in the day just feels pointless now. I'm almost tempted to ditch the landline altogether, these telesales are driving me mad. But then again, I guess not having a landline could cause other problems. :( :(

I’m currently over at a mate’s place, and she just picked up a call from that number. It was a girl on the line saying, “Sorry for the delay in responding.” I mean, seriously? That’s the first time my friend has even heard from them, and let's hope it's the last! The caller then had the audacity to inquire about how much my mate pays for her mobile contract. My friend couldn’t stand it anymore and hung up, as she wasn’t able to get a word in edgewise! Flipping ridiculous!

I received a call earlier from someone whose name escaped me, claiming he could help lower my phone charges. This number never actually came through to us, but it showed up on our caller ID. We've got Call Guardian on our phone which came free with our new BT phone. Any number that’s not listed has to announce who they are before it actually rings. We get to hear the intro and decide if we wanna pick up or block it. Annoying telemarketers don’t say a word, so we hardly ever get those pesky calls anymore. Really handy feature!

I've found that when I get calls from call centres, there's usually this awkward silence before someone starts talking. So if I say hello and there's a few seconds of quiet, I just hang up straight away and then dial 1471. If the number is unfamiliar, it's most likely a call centre. But if I know the number, I'll ring them back myself. Honestly, if it’s really important, they’ll just ring me again.

This afternoon my mum received a call from someone claiming to be with BT, speaking English and offering to lower her line rental. The caller said he’d transfer her to a supervisor and asked for her bank info. Luckily, my mum had the good sense to refuse and told him to send a letter instead. She’s 77 and quite vulnerable, so it’s really worrying how these companies try to trick people. There should be stricter rules stopping companies from phoning anyone who’s on the telephone preference list. This kind of thing needs to be stopped.

I refrain from picking up calls from numbers that I don't recognise until I've had a chance to look them up on Google. In the past twenty years, we’ve made such remarkable strides in technology, yet it seems so much simpler back then when answering a call just meant the occasional wrong number, and a simple “sorry” was all it took. Nowadays, blocking a number feels futile, as there always seems to be another one lurking just around the corner. I'm genuinely contemplating the idea of ditching my landline altogether and relying solely on my mobile.

They just went silent and then ended the call. So frustrating!

Received a call from 0182 559 1102, but it was nothing but silence-just rang out without any message. Did a quick search and found it was claimed to be from the Upfield region. Yet another dodgy number to chalk up as a scam! Huge thanks to all who share their thoughts here; it really helps! Keep the updates coming!

I received a call from a lady identifying herself as Jemima, presumably representing italk. She started chatting about an upgraded phone deal but then observed that I had quite a decent plan already and abruptly wrapped up the conversation. Curiously, when I dialled 1471 to trace the call, it turned out I had been connected to my own number!

someone called me trying to push a better phone package. i said their postcode was wrong and gave them an old one i used to have years back. she goes, "wait a sec, let me look up your postcode and line. hmm looks like you’re already on the top deal" _ unbelievable! just don’t pick up those calls.

this bloke rang me saying i'd called about my phone bill. i hadn't a clue what he was on about, so i told him straight. don’t reckon i'll be getting any more calls from him.

I picked up a call from 1825591102 and spoke to some chap who claimed I’d reached out regarding my phone bill. Honestly, I hadn’t a clue what he was on about! So, I made my feelings quite clear, and he certainly won’t be ringing me back in a hurry.

pretty much the same as others have said - kept calling us back saying we asked about cheaper mobile plans - which we totally didnt. for two days in a row i told them we were already locked into an 18 month contract with bt (which isnt true) - they then said they'd ring back in around 14-16 months. ive just blocked the number now!

Received a call from this number today, the 15th of September, 2016. I didn’t take the call, but I feel like I've encountered this number previously.

Got a call from 01825591102 this morning around 11. I didn’t pick up and it sounded like just dead silence with loads of clicking noises, no actual message left. If this is what others are saying about some cheap phone plan, then it’s clearly unwanted, especially since i'm on the TPS list.

today this number rang me up and called me by my ex’s last name. they were asking how frequently i use my landline and if id be interested in a cheaper deal. i’d only just woke up so wasnt really fully with it but i did ask where they got my name (actually my ex’s name) from. she mentioned something about a survey i’d supposedly done. not somethin id ever give my ex’s name for tho. anyway she quickly ended the call after that.

The phone went off, I picked it up, but there was nobody at the end. Quite frustrating, if I'm honest!

this number called me right after a local one, think they might be linked somehow. was about some cheap calls offer - chose to just not answer.

got a call from a pushy young lady claiming she was returning my call about affordable phone plans. problem is, i never rang her first, so this call was clearly an unwanted sales pitch. ive blocked their number now so they cant ring me again.
