I’m proper fed up with these calls now. Next time I’m not gonna just leave it, I’ll pick up and say something like, “Hello, thanks for ringing, just so you know this call’s being recorded and monitored by BT and the police for annoying calls.” Hopefully it puts them off!

I usually don’t pick up calls from unfamiliar numbers, but this one showed up as Uckfield on my phone. I’m based in Scotland and have no connections to anyone in Uckfield. Not sure who it is or why they keep ringing me multiple times a day. After seeing all these comments, I’m definitely going to block and report them. It’s really annoying and starting to feel like harassment. With all the tech stuff these days, I’m worried they might try to hack my phone. Someone seriously needs to put an end to this!

This number keeps calling me over and over on my phone, like five or six times every day. I have no clue where they got my number from. I picked up once and there was nobody there. Just annoying so I normally just don’t bother answering. I tried reporting them but they haven’t stopped yet.

Got a call from this number trying to sell me a deal to cut down my landline charges, kept asking loads of weird questions, even wanted to know if I had a panic alarm at home (seriously??).

So I looked up this number and found out ITalk does have a site and a phone number - 0333 4141 391. If you ring them, ask to get any of your personal info wiped from their records and also tell them not to pass it on to any other companies. I’m still a bit iffy about whether this lot are legit or not. If anyone could share what they’ve been told on the call, that’d be really helpful. I work with a firm that specialises in removing personal data from databases, so any details about what they say would help me look into things further. Cheers.

So irritating! This "I-talk" lot keep calling trying to get me to switch my provider, asking loads about my bills and if I own the place or hold the account. Honestly, dont give them any info and just put the phone down. Im not even the owner, im from abroad, but these scammers are so annoying!

Some place named iTalk rang me up tryin to lower my old landline costs. Weird thing is I just sorted out a new deal with EE for my home phone and fibre broadband like the day before. Creepy stuff, feels like someone’s always spying on you. ;P

It's this thing called I talk. I dont usually pick up, just let it ring onto the answerphone. If they begin to leave a message and I fancy chatting, then I do. The reason they dont pick up straight away is cos its all done by a computer. The system calls loads of numbers at once, and when you finally answer it connects you to a call centre person. If you dont answer or its an answerphone, the computer works it out and ends the call.

So I'm over at a mate's place and they just got a ring from that number. Some girl was on the line apologising for not replying sooner. Weird, right? That was the first time my mate ever got a call from that number, fingers crossed it’s the last too. She asked how much my mate pays on their phone bill. My friend just hung up 'cause she wasn’t able to say anything at all. Proper annoying!

This number never actually came through to us, but it showed up on our caller ID. We've got Call Guardian on our phone which came free with our new BT phone. Any number that’s not listed has to announce who they are before it actually rings. We get to hear the intro and decide if we wanna pick up or block it. Annoying telemarketers don’t say a word, so we hardly ever get those pesky calls anymore. Really handy feature!

I've found that when I get calls from call centres, there's usually this awkward silence before someone starts talking. So if I say hello and there's a few seconds of quiet, I just hang up straight away and then dial 1471. If the number is unfamiliar, it's most likely a call centre. But if I know the number, I'll ring them back myself. Honestly, if it’s really important, they’ll just ring me again.

This afternoon my mum received a call from someone claiming to be with BT, speaking English and offering to lower her line rental. The caller said he’d transfer her to a supervisor and asked for her bank info. Luckily, my mum had the good sense to refuse and told him to send a letter instead. She’s 77 and quite vulnerable, so it’s really worrying how these companies try to trick people. There should be stricter rules stopping companies from phoning anyone who’s on the telephone preference list. This kind of thing needs to be stopped.
