For some time now, I’ve been getting these annoying calls, usually just one or two each month. But today I got two separate calls - one pretending to be from a taxi company and the other claiming to be from the road transport authority. Neither of those would ever ring out of the blue, so I told them that and they hung up real quick. I looked up how to sign up for the TPS through a website I found online, but it flagged the site as unsafe and there was no padlock icon in the web address, so I didn’t go ahead with it. Does anyone know a trustworthy way to register instead?

Every time I pick up the phone, the caller just drops the call straight away. Honestly, no clue what's making them ring me over and over.

They mentioned my name and claimed I’d been in a car crash lately, which isn’t true at all. I just ended the call straight away and have since blocked their number.

I got a call about some insurance stuff tied to a crash that happened like 2 years ago, but I wasn’t involved at all. They apologised and then just ended the call.
