Got a ring from 01823984497, answered with a quick hello but it switched straight to a voicemail warning that my internet service was about to run out. It told me to press (1) to talk to TalkTalk and get help sorted. Tried to end the call but it lingered for a while before actually cutting off. Really grateful my other half wasn’t the one who picked up, he’d probably have stayed listening till the very end. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Earlier today, just before 1pm, I got a ring from 01823984497. I answered with a simple hello, but it quickly switched to a voicemail claiming my internet or broadband was about to expire. They told me to press 1 to reach TalkTalk for instructions. I tried to hang up straight away, but it took ages for the call to finally drop. Lucky my husband wasn’t the one to pick up because he might have stayed on and listened right through the message.
