I received a call from a foreign woman claiming to represent the Windows Service Centre, insisting that my computer had been compromised and was riddled with viruses. When I pointed out that it sounded like a scam, she wouldn’t take no for an answer and kept pushing her agenda. Eventually, I decided it was best to hang up. She attempted to ring me back twice, but I chose to ignore the calls.
