I picked up my phone and the only thing I heard was some robotic voice saying “goodbye”. Pretty weird!

Got a call from someone with a thick accent who claimed to be with EE, said I’d been a customer for ages (which is right) and offered some new deal with 30% off and whatnot. I cut them off quick because my mates had just turned up and I started saying I wasn’t interested. They just hung up on me right away before I could even finish, which felt kinda dodgy, like a scam or something.
