Even though I’m ex directory and signed up with the TPS, I got a call from an automated voice claiming there was suspicious activity on my account. It didn’t mention any bank or card name. They told me to press 1 to stop the transaction or wait for an agent. I just ended the call. My bank always calls me directly and says who they are if anything odd happens. Definitely a scam attempt. Blocked the number straight away. Total waste of their time.

I called this number and an older woman answered. She sounded confused and told me she didn’t call anyone. When I confirmed her number with her, she said it was right. She also mentioned that she’s had a few calls like mine this year but insists she hasn’t been the one making them.
