Got a call earlier from a woman with an American accent claiming to be from -BT International. She warned me my BT broadband would be cut off within the hour if I didn't respond. The message said to press 1 to ask about the suspension or 2 to prevent it. I didn’t press anything and after about 10 seconds, the call just dropped. Luckily, it got blocked by BT Call Protect.

I picked up the call and all I got was an automated message saying it was from BT. Thing is, BT never calls private landlines using their own private number, so it felt pretty fishy to me.
