A woman called saying her name was Sarah. When I asked where she was ringing from and what the call was about, she got all defensive and insisted I speak to the CEO instead. She said something like, "I’m not sharing any more details, the CEO knows exactly who I am and why I’m calling." Then, out of nowhere, she just hung up on me.

Got a ring moments ago from 01823 210951, some bloke called Simon. When I asked which Simon, he said Farmer. Then I asked what he actually did, and he claimed to be an accountant, but said that wasn’t the point of his call. I told him to either say what he wanted or I wasn’t interested, then ended the call.

Got a sales call out of the blue, they acted like they’d rung me previously but they hadn’t. They were trying to sell me those HiHi phones - if you’ve looked into them they’re just overpriced gadgets that don’t work great and often come with ridiculously long contracts. Definitely not worth it.

Got a call from someone called Alvin earlier, wanted to chat with our Ops Director but didn’t say which company he was from. He acted like he already knew the guy. I didn’t put him through, just told him to stick with the Chipmonks instead.

Got a really pushy sales call today. The lady gave the name of someone in the company, acting like they were waiting for my call and kept insisting to be put through. I kept saying no and told her to send an email instead. Ended up blocking the number. ####

Got a call where someone asked for our managing director by his first name, like they already knew him. When I said he wasn’t available, they seemed a bit off, like they expected him to be there. Definitely sounded like they had some sort of connection, but it was just a fishy call.

Got a call today from a Hannah Smith claiming to be from Rubix, ringing from 01823 210 951. She wanted to talk to one of our directors and said she’d already been in touch with him and he was waiting for her call. I told her that was odd since he stepped down five years back… then, just like that, she hung up!

01823210951 Got a call and asked them to put me through, but they had no idea what it was about. Just another annoying cold call. They said they’d spoken to my MD before, but I’m the one who always answers, and they’ve tried this before. Total waste of time. Honestly, I wish they’d just stop calling because the MD never wants to talk to them. No idea why they keep harassing us like this!

Just like that other report from a couple of hours back. I kept asking him why he was ringing and what it was all about, and he just got more and more irritable and frustrated! That’s the point where I usually clock that it’s a scam.

Had some bloke ring up asking to speak with the business owner, just wasting my time. I said no, which I’m glad about, but then he fibbed and claimed he’d ring my mobile later. Definitely a dodgy call, felt like a scam!

Keep getting calls from a woman named Oliva something, says she’s from this company Rubix. She’s always after the name of the managing director but never really explains what the call is about. Every time she says we should be ready for the call but it’s all pretty dodgy. We’ve told them to take us off their list loads of times and still no luck - total spam nonsense.

Got a call from a bloke called Patrick Jones, from some company called Rubix. He wanted to have a word with the director of our company and somehow already knew her name. When I asked if she was waiting for his call, he just said she ought to be. Didn’t hang about, just ended the call straight away. A few of the lads here mentioned he’s rung before too. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Would not accept me saying no, kept going on about some "Fantastic, Unbeatable, Most Amazing phone system ever!" Kept babbling on about how the local exchange got an upgrade and we could now get their shiny new VOIP thingy. Honestly, it was just nonstop jabber. Totally wouldn’t quit.

Got a call from someone called Curtis at Ripple, looking for the Director by name. When I told him I didn't recall any earlier chat with him, he just laughed and said guess he didn’t make much of an impression before. He asked why he wanted to talk to the Director but then said he couldn't say because of GDPR. He said he'd email instead and tried checking the email address, but I had to say no, I couldn’t share it due to company policy. Reading this now, I’m quite glad I kept things tight.

Got a call from someone named James who wanted to speak to our Director, but only used his first name. He wouldn’t tell me what company he was with, just mentioned it had something to do with telecomms. When he asked for the Director’s mobile number, I didn’t give it out.

So, this woman called, said her name was Katie Jackson and asked for the owner by their full name, which I found a bit odd since everyone just calls him by his nickname. When I asked where she was ringing from, she kinda rolled her eyes and snapped back that it was Ripple. Then, I wanted to know what the call was about, and she just got all hostile and said something like "oh, he doesn’t remember me, does he?" before hanging up on me. Proper strange behaviour from this Katie Jackson out of Ripple.

Had a call from someone named Katie Jackson claiming to be from ‘Ripple’, asking to talk to our director by name. She wouldn’t say what the call was about and only revealed her company after I asked multiple times. She insisted she’d already spoken to him before, which isn’t true, and said he’d be aware of the purpose of her call - he wasn’t. Didn’t put her through since it was obviously some kind of sales pitch or marketing trick, especially as we’re on the Telephone Preference Service so she shouldn’t have been ringing at all.
