got a call from someone saying his name was ‘alex wilson’, which sounded odd since i doubt many people from asia with poor english would pick such a western name. they rang way too early in the morning. he tried to say my name but butchered it badly and only got it half right. so i told him “no, you’ve got the wrong person, i’m suresh patel” (which isn’t true) then just hung up.

Got a call from someone with an English name but they sounded Indian, and it was so quiet I could hardly hear. Felt like one of those automated scam calls, so I gave them a piece of my mind before hanging up.

This bloke called saying he was from BT and warned me my services would be cut off for two days. He kept pushing me about what devices I had and wanted me to log onto my computer and do all sorts. When I said I didn't have a laptop (which I actually do), he just ended the call. We checked with our real provider after, and she told us once they get you onto your PC, that's when they start hacking. Absolutely massive scam, don’t let yourself get caught up in it!

definitely a scam, no doubt. i pretended to be interested and concerned. the bloke even asked if i was messing about with him! he was 22. then he wanted to know if i had shopped online before. i told him if he was my internet company, he’d already know that. suddenly, the call just dropped. felt a bit bummed out ??

Just got a call from one of those classic scammers trying the same old story about errors on my PC. They said they'd show me the error logs or something, total rubbish.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with BT about my internet. As soon as I told them they weren't actually from BT, the call just dropped.
