Wow, what a classic scam! They claim your BT Wifi will get cut off because of "corrupt files." Yeah, right! Best advice: just hang up and definitely don’t hit any buttons!

About half an hour ago, I got a call from a lady, sounded like she had an American accent, claiming she was from BT and warning me my internet was going to be cut off. I hung up straight away since I’m not even a BT customer!

Got a call from these ones too, looks like they’re making the rounds - my second dodgy call this afternoon.

Got a call from someone pretending to be BT saying my internet would be cut off soon. Didn't buy it and just blocked the number.

Got a call supposedly from BT saying my internet would be disconnected soon. They wanted me to press 1 to chat with them... definitely a scam, so I blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from someone with an American accent saying they were from BT. They told me my internet was on the verge of being cut off because supposedly some corrupt files were downloaded and there was a problem with my router. I told them I'd ring up BT myself to confirm, and then they just ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were from B.T., told me my internet was going to get cut off. They asked me to press 1 to talk to them... all sounded dodgy to me. Just hung up and blocked the number!
