Yesterday, these scammers phoned my mum, who’s almost 80. At first, she was convinced by what they said and even let them access her computer. Thankfully, when they tried to get her bank info, she didn’t give it and they just ended the call. Still, it shook her up a lot. With everything she’s already dealing with because of my dad’s health, she really didn’t need this stress. She had to call someone to come and fix her computer, but luckily it looks like they didn’t manage to steal anything important.

My mum, who’s quite old, keeps getting these annoying calls where they either just hang up on her or say they’ll cut off her phone by midday if she doesn’t answer. It’s really worrying.

Unknown caller. I ignored it. No voicemail was left. Clearly some sort of scam. I've told TalkTalk, but this seems to be a daily thing - so what exactly are they doing to keep us safe?

Keeps ringing first thing in the morning, but whenever I pick up, there's just silence on the other end.

Saw a number pop up with the 0044 prefix, but when I googled it, nothing came up. Like a few others mentioned, there was just dead silence when I picked up. I reckon they're probably just fishing around for active lines to bug with a scam call afterwards.

Got a call this morning about 8 o'clock but when I picked up there was nothing but silence. Sounded like just another annoying spam call.

Just got one of those bogus calls from “Talk Talk” - total scam, don’t fall for it!

I tried calling back but the number didn’t show up, and when they ring me now, they just hang up straight away, so I’ve had to block the phone.

Got two calls from this number today, one around half 8 and another about 10.40 in the morning. The area code looks almost identical to ours, so it tricks you into thinking it's someone local. The voice sounded Indian but the connection was really poor, couldn’t make out much of what was said. There was quite a bit of background noise too. When I mentioned the line was bad, they just ended the call straight away.

They keep ringing early in the morning and it’s non stop. When I pick up, there's nobody on the other end. It’s really unsettling, especially since I’m stuck at home on my own.
