This number should absolutely be blocked, it’s really risky. I’d suggest everyone to have caller ID on and just let any unknown calls go straight to voicemail - that’s what I do and it’s saved me from dodgy scam calls loads of times.

I rang a 0181-2221969 number and picked up thinking it was genuine, not a scam. Then this bloke started going on with “Chanta, Chanta, Chanta,” over and over. Honestly, it was like some kind of chant or song, maybe like the French word “Chantant” which means singing. There was loads of it and honestly, it had me cracking up! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜„ He was singing it in a proper funny way! But yeah, I’m not sure if it’s a scam or not, could still be dodgy.

Got a call from an 0181 dialing code, some bloke said he was from New Scotland Yard. He told me my card had been cloned and there was a £700 purchase made. It all sounded really fishy, so I didn’t play along. Then he got proper nasty and told me to get lost, even threatened to smash my face!! Honestly, this was scary. BE ON GUARD.

Got a call from 0181 6478345. A bloke said I’d supposedly signed up for an Amazon Prime account and that £99.99 was about to be taken from me. Then I got put through to a woman who said pretty much the same but mentioned £79.99 instead. It sounded fishy straight away, but I worry some folks might fall for it, especially if they’re more vulnerable. Just a heads up to be careful!

0181 6674551 gave me an automated call claiming £600 had been moved from my bank to an overseas account and told me to press 1. I didn't respond, stayed quiet, then it just ended the call. I blocked the number straight away. Later, I tried calling it back from a different phone and it didn’t even register as a valid number. Watch out for this!

Some bloke rang my 86 year old mum saying he was from the bank and that £600 had been taken from her account. He told her to wait while he put her through to someone else. Then a woman started talking but my mum ended up hanging up. It really upset her and made her anxious.

Someone called saying they were from BT, claiming there was an issue with my internet and to press 1 to chat to an agent or 2 to hang up. I ignored the first two calls but on the third I pressed 1. The person on the line told me I had a problem with my internet and asked if I was near a device or computer. I cut him off, telling him my internet was working fine and that it sounded like a scam. Then he started swearing at me! Proper rude.
