Then today they phoned again, pretending to be SSE. Once more, I told them to shove off. They must have been pretty miffed because they rang right back within seconds, now showing up as 01573520058 on my phone, asking why I’d hung up. This is the second call like this we've received today, clearly just scammers. They went on to suggest another firm called Direct Energy Services Ltd that could sort it out. Turns out it was all a con, EDF still has the original account and the whole thing was just rubbish.
