Instead, they had a distinctly soft Asian accent and urged me to get in touch with them. I’m inclined to believe that if their intentions were honest, they’d reach out once more. When I inquired for a callback number, they provided 01416286639, which I've seen flagged as a scam in the past. Be cautious!

The caller didn’t introduce themselves at all and simply mentioned that our electricity agreement was up for renewal, when in fact it's not. I informed them they had their facts wrong before hanging up. While the call appeared to be originating from Scotland, the accent was certainly not Scottish in nature.
