Got cut off again on my second call today, so frustrating!

i got a call from a man with an unfamiliar accent on 27/5/61. as soon as i picked up, he wanted me to verify my name. next, he tried to get me to do a quick survey. i declined, and when i said no, he pressed me for a reason. but then he suddenly told me i was going to d## tomorrow! it took me aback, but i told him that he was the one going d##! honestly, such a rude and unsettling call. stuff like this could seriously distress some folks. i'm thinking about filing a report with the cops.

It was definitely a call from a call centre. The number showed as blocked, so I didn’t pick up.

I got a couple of calls earlier today - both times it was just silence and then they dropped. Seems like these call centres are giving a new batch of numbers a go, hoping to trick folks. I do have a phone that blocks calls, but I still use 1471 to double check if it’s someone I know ringing.

This woman kept pushing her spiel even after I told her to stop and said I don’t accept calls like this! Didn’t care at all about what I said. Clearly just trying her luck!

I kept getting calls from someone with an Asian accent who quickly turned rude whenever I answered. Lately, though, it's just automated messages saying "Goodbye" coming from the same number.

Just got a call from some bloke, sounded Asian, asking for me by my name. I asked where he was ringing from and he just repeated my name like a robot. When I pressed again where he was calling from, he lost it and started yelling "Are you name, yes or no, you silly woman, answer me!" I shot back calling him a silly man and asked again where he was calling from. And guess what? He slammed the phone down on me. A call centre yelling at me, calling me silly woman... honestly, give it a rest, mate! If I get calls like that, I just put the phone down and let them babble to themselves until they realise no one’s there and then hang up. Too much cheek!

I’m absolutely fed up with these blighters ringing me practically every day! I've started to answer and just wait for them to say something, but it’s always silence on the other end. Does anyone have a clue as to why they keep dialling people’s landline numbers without uttering a word? It baffles me how they manage to get hold of our private digits; it feels like someone must be leaking personal information. I’m registered with TPS and have reported them to the ICO, yet here I am still receiving these nuisance calls. Any insights on how to put a stop to these annoying pests would be greatly appreciated!

I got a call from 018052015, and when I picked up the line was completely quiet, like no one was even on the other end. Definitely felt like one of those scam calls or a telemarketer trying to be sneaky.

Same number from India keeps ringin me, seems like one of them dodgy scams. Best not to pick up and report it through the TPS website to ICO. Called me loads of times, and they get real nasty if you ask how they found my digits. Proper sketchy and not safe at all. william41

Got a call from someone Asian who barely spoke English, asking me to verify my personal info. No way was I giving anything out!

Some bloke rang claiming his name was James, but I’m pretty sure that wasn’t true. He wanted to speak to my mum by name, and when I told him she wasn’t there, he just started saying I was lying. Proper weird!

Got a call from what sounded like some Indian call centre, said they were doing a survey about a blocked lifestyle or something weird like that. The number looked dodgy too, so I just hung up.
