Some guy with a foreign accent rang up saying my BT line was having problems or sumthin. It was a bloke, sounded kinda dodgy to me.

So this bloke called me claiming to be from BT, saying there was a problem with my computer and that they’d received reports about viruses. It sounded a bit dodgy, and because I’ve fallen for scams like that before, I just ended the call straight away. Didn't seem legit to me at all.

Some bloke said he was from BT and told me my broadband signal was weak and to switch on my computer, said I was open to getting hacked or something. I told him I'd report him to the cops straight away. After that, he just cut the call.

My phone rang, and as soon as I picked up, they just hung up straight away.

Earlier today, an individual rang claiming to be with BT, asking me to switch on my computer and follow some steps so he could apparently access it remotely (he never said it was remote access, mind). I ended the call sharpish once I made it clear I wasn't about to fall for it.
