No calls directly from this number so far, but I’m constantly receiving the exact same automated message supposedly from "Bank Security." It says my account has been charged £300 by Amazon and £1,100 via some overseas transfer site. It urges me to press 1 to cancel or 2 to talk to an agent. The latest numbers throwing up this recorded message are 01883 315216, 01883 370863 and 01883 375422, though similar calls have come from various other numbers over the years. Honestly, I’m getting really tired of this never-ending nuisance.

Complete rubbish! These BT people just don't care, so dont bother leaving a message. I just ignore them all the time, 100%. Very dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call today with the exact same automated message as one I received earlier this morning - both from places about 300 miles apart. The voice on the recording was the same bloke, sounded Asian this time. I told him straight up he wasn't from Visa and called him a proper scammer. I also said I’d be reporting him to the cops. Honestly, these scammers deserve to be locked away or even sent back from wherever they're from!

The phone never rang, so I didn’t even get a chance to answer - looks like a robocall to me. I checked and the number is on the TPS register, so whoever this was clearly ignoring the guidelines. Definitely not someone you can trust.

Just before midday on Monday 6th Dec, I got a call from 01803606170 claiming to be from the bank’s fraud team. They said, “Your bank card got used twice this morning, £300 on Amazon and…” I cut them off straight away with, “No it hasn’t. Now piss off!” Totally a scam, no doubt about it.

I got a call from a different number but it was the same bank scam. The message talked about a £1100 transfer abroad and a £300 charge supposedly for Amazon. It was just a voice message, no one said their name.

I got a call that sounded like it was from Amazon, saying I needed to renew my Prime membership. Thing is, my subscription isn’t up for ages and it’s supposed to renew automatically through Amazon itself. Pretty sure it was just one of those automated scams. Went ahead and blocked the number straight away.
