Received a rather dodgy call earlier where the individual began probing about my retirement savings. It has all the hallmarks of a scam, if you ask me!

I called them back but nobody picked up.

This number keeps ringing me, usually around 8 in the evening, so now I just let it go to voicemail. Never actually talked to whoever it is, but I’m pretty sure it’s not a telemarketer I know. It’s a bit of a pain since my number’s listed in the phone directory.

Today I got a call from a woman about moving my pension somewhere else. She actually knew the postcode of my old address, which made me a bit suspicious, especially since I never told her about any changes. When I told her I don’t have any workplace pensions from my current or past jobs, she didn’t really push further and just ended the call with a polite goodbye. I wasn’t planning on sharing any info regardless. Anyway, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now, just to be on the safe side.

I've had a similar experience with the same people mentioned here. The sales pitch was really pushy. Oddly enough, I couldn't dig up any information about them anywhere on the internet.

Hey, got the same call here. So, I looked into that firm a bit. Turns out, they offer a free help service to assist people in moving all their pensions together to save on fees. Apparently, they're involved in backing the new laws aimed at making pension plans clearer for everyone.

On Wed at 18:58, I got a call from a lady using the number 01803 501101. She claimed to be from some company and started asking all sorts about my pension stuff. From the get go, the whole thing felt a bit fishy. It’s odd getting a random call asking personal info. I felt uneasy and just as quickly as they started, they ended the call. Definitely not trusting that one.

So, these lot called me around half past seven this evening, asking about how many pensions I have and trying to push a pension review service. What really creeped me out was they obviously had my home number - and I’m on the TPS - plus my email address as well. When I asked the woman where they’d picked up my info from, she just said she’d give me a number at the end of the call to ring and check. I didn’t bother carrying on with it. From what I can tell, the only thing about them is that the 01803 code is from Torbay.
