Got a call with an automated voice warning me about suspicious charges on my card - £300 spent on Amazon and £1100 sent overseas. It told me to press Y if I accept or N to talk to someone. Sounded dodgy to me.

It claimed to be from Microsoft, addressing an issue linked to my PC! They mentioned that they'd indicate whether it was switched on. When I asked for a callback number, they said it wasn't feasible to provide one. Naturally, I didn’t receive any contact details. Seems like the newest scam to me; best to steer clear!

Got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft, saying there was an issue with my computer. They offered to show me what the problem was, but it definitely felt like some kind of scam. I told them I was busy and asked for their number so I could call back later, but they wouldn't give it. I had to use 1471 to find out the number myself. Wouldn't trust this one at all.
