Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft. I told them I'd ring back and they gave me this number, but Microsoft never got in touch afterwards. From what I can tell, it’s a complete scam. Didn't bother calling them again!

Utterly fraudulent! Microsoft would never reach out to individuals out of the blue. Handing over access to your computer could lead to a financial nightmare. Stay vigilant!

On the 5th of June, 2013, I received two phone calls from the same chap with a rather thick Indian accent, claiming to be from Windows. He was going on about some alleged issues with my computer and offered to guide me through solving them with codes and such. Now, I may not be a tech wizard, but I'm certainly savvy enough to spot a scam when I hear one. I firmly told him to shove off - not once, but twice! If he were truly on the up and up, you’d think he'd have the sense to conceal his number, wouldn’t you?

Could someone please look into this bothersome phone caller? An Indian chap attempted to persuade me that there was an issue with my computer. When I informed him that I had a quarter of a century’s worth of experience in the tech industry and dismissed his claims as nonsense, he resorted to making threats. He knew my name, address, and postcode, and ominously warned me that "my computer would be locked down within 24 hours," implying I’d have to fork out for a new one!
I’d greatly appreciate it if action could be taken to put a stop to these scammers. Thank you!
