Today I got a call from this number claiming that £500 had been taken from my account. They said if I wanted to stop it, I should press 1, so I did. Luckily the call cut off and I never spoke to anyone beyond that. I contacted my bank just to be sure, and they confirmed no such payment had gone through. After searching online, it turns out this is a scam.

Here we go once more!!! Got a call saying my card was being used for online gambling over in the US, claiming it’d been hacked! This is probably the sixth call like this I've had, always from different numbers which I end up blocking. Looks like they’re just dialling random numbers using some computer program. Blocked the number again, and have reported it to the TPS and BT, AWFUL!!!

I got this automated call saying my account had some dodgy transactions, and it told me to hit 1 to chat with customer support. I pressed 1 and straight up told them they were scammers and to buzz off! Then, a minute later, they rang me back again, so I just told them to get lost in no uncertain terms!
