Got a call from some automated female voice claiming I’d been in an accident - which is rubbish, haven’t had one for at least 6 years! These con artists try to hype you up with promises of big compensation, then hit you up for your card info!

A bloke rang up saying he was from Microsoft and warned us that our PC would be disconnected within the hour since it’d supposedly been hacked and was being exploited by some bad guys. He insisted we needed to bring the computer down to Reading straight away to sort it out. He gave his name as John Kendrick and said he worked from Microsoft’s office at Thames Valley Park, Building 3, RG6 1WG. He was really pushy and carried on with his scam for about 22 minutes before finally hanging up.
