Today I got a call on my TalkTalk home phone. The person claimed to be from TalkTalk and said there had been some strange stuff going on with my internet, asking if I was aware of it. It didn’t feel legit to me, so I fired back with loads of questions, and in the end, they just cut me off.

Got a call from 01798 220114 warning that our broadband would be offline within 4 hours and that we had to get a new router. The caller asked me to press 1 to be connected to the supplier. I didn’t do it, instead rang Virgin Media myself and they confirmed it was a scam, advising me to just ignore the call.

I got a call from a lady claiming to be with TalkTalk, saying my line was about to be cut off today. She asked me to press one and follow some instructions. I just hung up and didn’t answer the other calls after that. Tried to block the number, but it didn’t seem to work at all.
