I received a rather peculiar call from this number, so I decided to ring back. To my surprise, I was greeted by a distinctively American voice droning on about how my call was of utmost importance to them. I promptly hung up, and upon further investigation, discovered that this number has indeed been flagged as a scam. Best to steer clear!

So this person called sayin they were checking over my life insurance and that apparently it’s the law or something. They also claimed they could lower the cost of my policy. I asked them which insurance company they were from, since they said they worked for them, but they couldn’t give me a clear answer, just rattled off a bunch of different names. Then they wanted my address, and I told them surely if they really represented the company they should already have that info. After that, they just ended the call on me. Very suspicious!

Got a call asking for my bank details, sounded like a dodgy scam. I told them to stop ringing me right away. I’ve now reported the number to Action Fraud and the anti-spam call line. Hopefully, they’ll sort it out.

I use 1&1 for hosting and they keep ringing me up offering all sorts of website templates like Wordpress or Joomla, which I really don’t need. Honestly, if I did want them, I’d just set them up through their control panel myself. I’ve explained this loads of times, yet they keep calling and never seem to remove me from their list when I ask. It feels like a bit of a waste of time, but maybe they’re just trying to keep their support team busy when there aren’t any real support enquiries. They’re polite enough, just a bit persistent and won’t take no for an answer!
