Got a call that turned out to be a total scam.

I didn’t answer the call, but out of curiosity, I ran a reverse lookup on the number. Turns out it’s a VOIP line, basically a phone number made online that can be from pretty much anywhere. These are often linked to dodgy call centres, like those scam operations from India, pretending to ring from the UK to trick you.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent, sounded like a total scam. They tried all sorts of tricks, real dodgy. Definitely wouldn't trust it.

I've told them loads of times to take me off their calling list but they never stop. It’s some sort of call centre that uses a live dialer and pretends the number’s local, but it’s actually from outside the UK. Proper annoying.

I just ignored the call since they didn’t bother leaving any voicemail. Looks like one of those annoying spam calls, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number and sent a report to 7726.
