My home phone rang today and after a short silence, a recorded woman claimed to be from “Bank Security,” warning me about two odd charges on my card earlier - £700 spent on Amazon and a bigger amount sent via some money transfer company. I ended the call straight away, as I’ve dealt with tons of scam calls like this before. When I tried calling the number back, BT just said “number not recognised.” Definitely one of those scam attempts.
