Got one of these calls today, sounding like it's from Amazon or my bank. An automated woman’s voice said there was weird activity on my account, mentioning about £300 spent on Amazon and more than £1000 in some foreign currency transaction, then told me to press 1 to verify or 2 to cancel. The sneaky part? The number showed up with my local area code, so now it seems these scammers are pretending to be local to fool folks. Be careful!
