Just got a call in the late morning on 9th August from a woman with an American accent, warning me that my computer had a virus and would be shut down within hours. Funny thing, by the next morning my computer actually ended up with a virus. Pure coincidence or something else?

Always just hang up, these calls are sketchy internet scams and can be pretty unsafe.

This is such a dodgy scam. My elderly folks, who are 90 and 86, get really worried thinking their internet service will get cut off. They're getting these calls one or two times every day and it’s really upsetting them.

Scam alert! This internet company keeps calling me every 39 minutes from different numbers. When you finally answer, it’s just a recorded voice asking you to press 1 if you want to speak to a technician. Total dodgy move, probably trying to trick me into giving info or something. Stay clear!
