I received a rather suspicious call from someone purporting to be from my internet service provider. Now, I'm well aware that any genuine correspondence from them would come via email, directing me to log into my account securely. So, I decided to question this caller further, insisting they disclose the make and model of my router. Strangely, they evaded the question repeatedly, clearly indicating it was a ruse aimed at tricking me into giving them access to my computer or installing dodgy software. The whole charade came to a head when I told them to clear off and promptly ended the call.
