So this bloke called me up with a strong Indian accent, saying he was from Microsoft. He told me my PC was under attack and if I didn’t let them fix it, they’d lock me out. Then he tried to get me to download something from this [#]help93[###] website. Proper dodgy, watch out!

I got a call from this number with someone speaking with a strange accent, saying they were from BT and wanted me to switch on my computer to “look at issues with my router”. I had some internet trouble a couple of weeks back and BT sent me a new home hub after they said everything looked fine. I wasn’t convinced this was the real deal, and honestly, I couldn’t catch most of what he said, so I just hung up. Feels like it might’ve been a scammer or a hacker trying to get in.
