I just received a message from BT claiming they're going to cut off my phone line and instructed me to press 1 to sort things out. Honestly, I'm highly suspicious of this-seems like a dodgy setup, and I wouldn't be surprised if they try to hit me with a fee just for pressing that button!

Got a recorded message claiming to be from BT saying my line would be cut off unless I pressed 1 or 2 to sort it out. Thing is, I don't even use BT, and the number they rang was an internet-based landline. I've heard before that if you press 1, you get hit with a big bill. Definitely a dodgy one.
