Got another phone call claiming to be Claire Williams from HMRC - total scam as usual.

Got a call from someone named Claire Williams speaking with a strong American accent, saying I needed to ring back immediately or else there’d be serious trouble. Just like others have pointed out, HMRC only contacts through letters first, and if you ignore that, they might visit in person - they don’t just call you out of the blue. It’s definitely a con job, so either mess about with them a bit or simply hang up and don’t stress over it.

Just got a call from some American sounding woman saying she was Claire Williams from HMRC. It was a robotic voice and she warned me to ring 01793 953868 straight away or I’d be in legal trouble. 100% a scam, don’t answer or just end the call and report it.

Got a message from someone pretending to be HMRC asking me to ring them back. Definitely a dodgy scam, so best to either just block it or report it to the police. No point stressing over these nonsense calls!

I just got the exact same call, it’s really awful.

Yet another dodgy HMRC scheme doing the rounds. Just had a rather unsettling call from an American-sounding robot pretending to be some officer named Claire Williams, warning of dire 'legal repercussions' if I didn’t return the call. It's downright terrifying for those who aren't clued up on these scams. Truly dreadful, if you ask me.

I just had a peculiar ring from the number 01793953868. An automated lady's voice prompted me to call back immediately. It claimed to be from HMRC, but the accent was decidedly American and the caller mentioned something about my 'legal representative,' which isn’t a phrase we typically use here; we’d refer to it as a ‘solicitor.’ I decided against returning the call, but I’m curious if anyone else has had a similar experience with this number - is it really HMRC?

Received a recorded voicemail that claimed to be from HMRC, yet the voice had a distinctly American twang. They urged me to return the call immediately, stressing that the matter was urgent. They even warned against ignoring the message, stating that failure to respond could lead to legal repercussions. Complete scam, so I’ve now blocked this number - supposedly HMRC.

I picked up but there was nothing on the other end, just silence. They ended the call without saying a word, so I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Got a voicemail from this number and got a bit worried. When I called back, they told me to check with HMRC to confirm if it was legit. Luckily, the line kept cutting out and they ended up hanging up. I decided to google the number afterwards and came across this site!

Got a dodgy message that claimed to be from HMRC, said something about ringing them right away or else. Some guy with a Caribbean accent called himself John Anderson, saying he’d give bank info and a deadline for payment. Honestly, HMRC wouldn’t leave a voicemail like that about money matters. Don’t fall for it and definitely don’t send any cash.

Got a call yesterday too from a different number, said it was HMRC. Feels a bit dodgy to me, could be a scam!
