A really courteous caller said they were ringing from Nationwide to do a satisfaction survey. They started by saying I’d been to their Felixstowe branch recently, which was odd cause I’ve never even been to that Nationwide location. The whole time I could hear a noisy office sound playing in the background too. I didn’t hang around long enough to figure it out, but it felt like it was probably some kind of scam.

I told her that my daughter wasn't in at the moment and asked if the call related to some documents I had submitted to the society the previous week. Someone called me using my name, saying they were from KPMG about a recent trip I made to Nationwide BS. I'm ex-directory, so Nationwide must have passed on my info. I'm definitely going to report it.

Didnt leave any message. Think it was some Nationwide related marketing firm calling. Nationwide should realise this kind of pushy tactic just puts people off instead of making them loyal. Every single time Ive dealt with Nationwide, Ive told them not to call me on my numbers but obviously they couldnt care less. Seriously, sort it out Nationwide before you lose even more clients or end up in legal trouble for constant phone harassment.

Got a posh lady ring me up, asked for me by my name and said she was doing some research for Nationwide Building Society. Asked if I could spare a few minutes for a quick survey. I told her I don’t do phone surveys and just ended the call. Feels dodgy to me. Definitely gonna block the number.

She claimed to be from KPMG Numwords doing market research for a building society but refused to say which one. She then gave this number as her contact (which is fake): 0800302011. The actual call came from 01793888585. If it really is Nationwide like folks have mentioned, they should be aware that cold calling is totally unacceptable. I've reported it to the ICO.

Yeah, this number rang me earlier today claiming it was Nationwide B/S. They asked for me by name but since I'm deaf/hard of hearing on my landline, I struggled to catch what she was saying 'cause she talked really fast. I told her I couldn’t hear properly, and then she just said no worries and hung up. Call was around 1.15pm on 17/9/18. Never had a call from Nationwide B/S before, so after reading other comments here, I reckon it was some kinda market research, even though they didn’t say that when they called.

Got a call from this number yesterday around 6.16pm. Some bloke left a message saying, "Is it me your after?" Bit odd, but nothing major. Just seems a bit off since they have no clue who they’re ringing or how old the person is!!!

This number rang me claiming to be from Nationwide doing some kind of market survey. I had a missed call before from a number with a Swindon area code, which I thought was legit since Nationwide's HQ is there. When they called and asked for me by name, I said I wasn’t interested in the survey. Later, when I popped into Nationwide, I asked them about the call and they said they hadn’t rung me at all.

Got a call today from 01793 - 888585 but they left no voicemail. Don’t recognise the number at all. After reading other comments, sounds like it could be a scam or some dodgy market research call. With all the rise in online and financial fraud, I wouldn’t bother answering or returning. If you’re unsure, best to ring your bank or building society back on a number you know for sure is legit, not one they give you on the call. Even better, report it in person or contact the anti-fraud team straight away.

Got a call from someone asking for my wife, she wasn’t in. I looked up Skipton and found out KPMG handles calls for loads of businesses. Still, I won’t be talking to them if they ring back. Not a fan of cold calls at all. Stay safe everyone. Proper not pleased with this.

I think it might have been Nationwide calling because they asked him to do a survey. He said he couldn’t at the time since he was waiting for an important call. When I answered, the number didn’t ring a bell and I just said hello, they ended up hanging up right away.

I’m pretty sure it was a legit call from Nationwide building society, which is a bit of a rarity for me. Most of the time it’s just scammers ringing about all sorts - virus alerts, double glazing deals, solar panels, boiler repairs, dodgy surveys, internet cut-offs and loads more. I don’t give out any info nowadays, feels pointless really, might as well just bin the phone. But then again, if there’s an emergency, you’ve got no choice. Do these scammers even think about the damage they cause? Anyway, that’s me done moaning.

I received a charming call, supposedly from my building society. It struck me as rather peculiar that they would share my number in such a manner, as this isn't the usual approach for them. Quite disheartening, really. About an hour back, I put in a report for this number on this website. After that, I decided to drop Nationwide an email to check it out. They got back to me pretty quick, within half an hour, saying it’s actually a real market research call from KPMG Nunwood working with Nationwide. That said, like I mentioned earlier, be super careful with any cold calls and avoid sharing your details since most of them are dodgy. Don’t just take my word for this one being legit though.

I reckon it's rather important to engage your noggin and listen carefully. Due to the confidentiality of clients and customers, they're unable to reveal anyone's personal details, including which building society they're affiliated with - that's a stipulation from the building society itself (Nationwide, in this case) and not the folks reaching out. The individuals contacting you aren't fishing for personal info; they're simply conducting customer satisfaction surveys to gather feedback on the service delivered. Wouldn't you appreciate receiving insights about your own work if it meant improvement? If you find the calls bothersome, just politely decline and they’ll promptly remove your number from their list. And let's be honest, if you're inclined to be rude to someone trying to earn a living while likely dealing with their own challenges, then that's really not a great look on you! 😊
