6 yearsGot a call from someone pretending to be my internet provider - funny enough, they nailed the company name out of nowhere. Said they were from the 'security team' and that my router was being slowed down by a bunch of files. When I asked why that would be, I told them straight up it sounded like a scam and to stop calling or I’d report them. They tried to convince me by saying if I switched on my computer, they could show my license number from my account to prove they were legit. I told them if they were genuine, they’d know that already without me switching anything on. Didn’t bother turning on my pc. Then I asked what their company planned to do about the issue and, just like that, they hung up.
