I just got a call from what looked like a local number. There was an automated message claiming that an Amazon package was on its way and that my card had been billed £399. It told me to press 1 if I hadn’t made any purchase. Pretty clear scam to me, but I can see how some folks might fall for it, especially if they’re not careful.
