2 yearsFor weeks now, I’ve been getting calls from this number, usually ringing about 3 times back to back every day. It’s been nonstop.2 yearsI had a rather dodgy phone call purporting to be about some supposed “transactions” linked to my account. The caller then went on to inquire whether I’d received a message from Evri regarding “rebooking a slot.” They claimed that my account had been “suspended” and said I should expect a replacement card within a week to ten days. During this time, they suggested I transfer my funds to a Revolut or Monzo account for “safekeeping.” Naturally, I thought it odd and investigated the number they called from; it turned out they were using the overseas contact number for Nationwide, which made no sense since I was in the UK. This set alarm bells ringing, so I promptly hung up, but not before they attempted to ring me back three times-definitely a red flag. I decided to reach out to Nationwide directly for verification, considering they log all their calls. Unsurprisingly, there was no note of such correspondence. If you ever find yourself in a similar predicament with these types of scams, don’t hesitate to end the conversation and contact your bank straight away, or report any compromised information via their app or website.EvriRevolutMonzoNationwideUK2 yearsReceived a call purporting to be from Nationwide, and unfortunately, they tricked me into losing some cash.Nationwide2 yearsHe talks all friendly and makes you feel at ease, but he’s actually sneaky and ripping cash right from people’s bank accounts.2 yearsI've come across a situation where it appears that someone is impersonating Starling Bank. He said three big payments were made on my debit card earlier today, but supposedly, their system flagged it and the card was cancelled. Then he started asking about my online banking, like how I log in and stuff. When I asked which bank he meant, he said HSBC - I told him I don't even have an account there, and he just hung up on me.
