Just got a ring from these lot and honestly, it’s a total con. They claimed to be from some ‘regional crime prevention initiative’ and said they were putting together a mag to expose dodgy traders. Nearly fell for it a while back and they've been pestering me on and off since then. This scam’s been floating around online forever, like over a decade, with different gangs pulling the same trick. - caller ID showed regional crime prevention initiative (scammers)

Got a ring on my mobile from someone saying they were with Wiltshire Crime Prevention, but I reckon it was just a sales pitch in disguise. When I tried to respond, the person abruptly ended the call complaining they couldn’t hear me. I make sure my number is on the telephone preference list so I don’t get these kinds of calls. Caller said they were from Wiltshire Crime Prevention, but I’m not convinced.
