Got a call from an American lady on a recorded message saying my BT internet was going to be disconnected because it was compromised. Problem is, I don’t even have BT internet! After seeing some of the comments here, I just hung up and blocked the number straight away. Pure scam, I reckon.

Got a call from some American bloke telling me my account in California was hacked and I'd get cut off. It's clearly a scam but I worry older folks might get duped by it. Someone really needs to start tracing these scammers and put a stop to their nonsense.

Got a call from 01793596432 today with a recorded voice saying they were from BT and my line had been cut off because of security issues. They told me to press 1 if I’m a BT customer or 2 if not. I just ended the call straight away. Funny how this number popped up out of nowhere today. Definitely a total scam!
