This person said they were calling from BT and warned me that my internet had been hacked and would get cut off by midnight. When I asked if my actual provider had mentioned anything, of course, they said no. They also claimed that BT supplies the internet for my provider, which sounded odd. They didn’t come across as very professional and bungled my questions, like why they wouldn’t just disconnect it straight away if they knew someone hacked it. Felt a bit dodgy to me.
