Received a call today supposedly concerning my car insurance renewal. When I inquired about the specifics of the policy they were referencing, the woman on the line tossed out a date in December, which is rather odd since all my policies refresh in June. I thought I'd keep her on the line a bit longer, so I asked for the vehicle information, but she was utterly stumped. Just your run-of-the-mill cold caller, really. To give her her due, she was courteous enough, but I clearly requested that they take me off their contact list, and she assured me that she would-though I have my doubts about that actually happening. I’ve never heard of this company before; she mentioned something called Cars4you insurance at the outset, but I can’t find any trace of it. Seems like nothing more than a typical scam or just dodgy telemarketing.
