Got a call from this number, and after hanging up I dialled 1471 to check who it was. The person said they were from BT and told me someone else might be using my BT Broadband connection, asking if I’d shared my wifi password with anyone. I double-checked since they seemed convinced I was a BT Broadband customer. I ended the call pretty quickly because it all sounded fishy, so I’m not sure what kind of scam or hack they were trying to pull. The caller spoke English quite well but had an accent that I thought sounded East Asian, maybe Chinese - though I’m no expert on accents.
