Theres a hired firm which shares a database with O2, and they’re allowed to ring you using O2’s name. Even tho they say they’re from Swansea, they’re actually a separate company, not O2 itself. You gotta be careful as they record the conversations, and what they do with those recordings might go beyond just their company. The company says they have about 50 callers and can’t watch over every call. So it’s best you record the call yourself with an app if you can. They can apparently even figure out stuff about you from how you speak.

Someone called saying they were from o2 with some offer about not having to pay bills anymore - sounded dodgy right away. Background was super noisy like a busy call centre. I’ve signed up to the TPS but recently, the spam calls have ramped up loads. I just ignore and block them, but it’s so annoying to keep dealing with it - especially when I’m expecting important calls that are getting missed because of all the nonsense.
