In the space of just a few days, I got two calls from someone on my mobile asking directly for me by name. They even knew my car details, like the registration and the day I had a slight accident while it was parked. I’ve no idea how they managed to get hold of that info. I told my insurance provider about it, and they said they’d send everything over to their fraud department to look into.

Over the past three days, this number has tried ringing me 5 times. I never pick up calls I don’t know, but it’s really annoying. What’s more worrying is that they’ve also been phoning my landline, which I believed was ex-directory! How on earth did they get hold of it? I was under the impression that the government had measures to prevent these kinds of pest calls. If not, they really should put something in place. I’ve held off blocking them so far, but I’m getting close to just doing that. Big thanks to this website for allowing people to report these calls tho.

I got a call from a woman claiming to be from an accident insurance department. She was really pushy and kept asking why I hadn’t made a claim for the compensation I supposedly qualified for. She was quite forceful, saying she couldn’t close my case unless I made a claim. I hung up because she wouldn’t listen to me and have since blocked the number.

Just like the person who commented a couple below me, i’m getting loads of calls from all sorts of numbers. I’ve probably got more than 24 numbers blocked now, and it seems like theres at least one new one every day. If it’s someone unfamiliar, i don’t bother returning the call, it just gets blocked straight away. Sorry to anyone legit who gets caught in the crossfire!

These accident claim people are so annoying! I’ve been getting calls nonstop from them and even when I block one number, they just call me from another one. In just the past four months, I’ve gotten over 50 calls from these chasers. Proper hassle!
