Phone number ☎️ 01792917768 👆 is reported as a persistent nuisance caller often linked to alleged water bill rebates, energy savings, and home improvement schemes. Many complainants highlight aggressive sales tactics, misleading claims about affiliation with Welsh Water, and demands for upfront fees which some deem excessive or fraudulent. Despite some positive accounts of refunds and government funding facilitation, scepticism remains high due to repeated breaches of Telephone Preference Service rules, rude behaviour when questioned, and failure to provide clear company identification. Several users caution vulnerable individuals, especially the elderly, to exercise extreme caution and advise contacting official providers directly to avoid potential scams. Authorities have been alerted, and potential customers are advised to thoroughly research and remain vigilant before engaging.

Somebody rang me up saying they wanted to check on my life insurance policy with them, but I don’t even have one with that company. Then they started talking about my mortgage, which is odd because my home is fully paid off. After that, they began asking about my family. I just told them to get lost.

What a right pickle I’ve found myself in with "Greenstreak"! I had a delightful conversation with a woman on the line who seemed rather pleasant-who would think a Welsh lass would play such tricks? Just like all the other scams, she promised to help me cut down on my water charges and reclaim cash from my electricity provider. Foolishly, I ended up handing over £49.00 upfront. Lesson learnt, that’s for sure! I feel like such a muppet! - Caller: GREENSTREAK

I just received a rather dubious call from these chaps regarding a supposed “rebate owed on my water bill.” When I informed them that I wasn’t eligible for any rebate, given that all my rainwater funnels straight into the main drainage system rather than those soakaway things, the caller claimed they'd clearly received some erroneous information. To which I responded, “not a chance!” This lot are simply casting a wide net, hoping to reel someone in! What really winds me up is their blatant disregard for the rules around the Telephone Preference Service, which I’ll certainly be reporting. Just a heads up - if your dwelling's rainwater does indeed go into soakaways, then a reduction on your water bill might be in order, so do consult your water provider about it. There’s absolutely no need to involve a third party! - Caller: Green Streak

I received a call from this number recently. The chap on the line had a Welsh accent, much like my own, and mentioned something about Greenstreak and a refund for an overcharge. I informed him that I had no knowledge of the company and wouldn’t share any personal information over the phone; I suggested he send a written correspondence instead. We ended the call on a cordial note. He brought up “eco funding” and claimed that Greenstreak had been operating for three years. Upon browsing their website, I noticed buried within, they have a rather intriguing fee of nearly £300 for their cost-saving services. Quite suspicious if you ask me! I can’t help but wonder how they acquired my phone number, especially since I'm registered with the telephone preference service to avoid such unsolicited calls. The caller was indeed Green Streak.

In response to O JONES: I must clarify that we have never and will never impose a fee for something like a "Boiler." What we offer is a thorough home assessment, which might come with ECO funding opportunities. Historically, our charges have not exceeded £299.99 for any service rendered. Therefore, I'm quite puzzled as to where you've encountered those figures of £750 and £475. I assure you, it’s certainly not linked to Green Streak. - caller: gs

I received a call claiming I was eligible for a £100 discount on my water bill. Strangely, she failed to provide her name or inquire who owned the property. When I pressed her twice for her identity, she became quite irked and mentioned she was from Green Street, representing Welsh Water. The peculiar thing is, I neither reside in Wales nor am I a customer of theirs! Upon informing her of this, her reply was that I was overpaying for my wastewater, which includes rainwater and sewage. Quite frankly, I'm left unimpressed! Her tone was rather discourteous, bordering on rude, and the whole encounter highlighted rather poor customer service standards.

Establishing my own website has turned into quite the ordeal, particularly due to all the unsolicited marketing that comes my way through various channels. Just a few days ago, I acquired the latest BT handset equipped with Call Guardian and TrueCall (the BT8500 model). I've set everything up, and I must say, it’s been worth every penny. It doesn’t matter who your phone provider is; this gadget is a must-have. I've been harassed by nuisance calls from an array of sources, including numbers starting with 000 and what look to be legitimate UK numbers that often have a digit missing. However, since I installed this system, I've had blissful silence! I simply check missed calls and take the liberty to block them. Real callers tend to leave their details, so it’s all tickety-boo, as they say! I've now successfully blocked this troublesome number.

This morning, I received a rather curious call from a company going by the name of Green Streak. A woman named Charmayne had the audacity to greet me by name and even mentioned my address, claiming I was eligible for a refund of at least £100 from Welsh Water. She provided a phone number, 08438865512, for me to call. When I probed her about the nature of her company, she stated that Green Streak was involved in some government initiative aimed at assisting elderly folks in securing better deals. Then she handed the call over to her 'manager', who had quite the sales pitch up his sleeve. He assured me that I could receive all new replacement windows, radiators, and even free solar panels - but only after I forked out £299.99 for what he termed an 'independent survey'. Naturally, I didn’t entertain the idea. When I mentioned that I wished to verify their company online, he abruptly hung up on me. Quite the experience, I must say!

I received a telephone call from a lady claiming to represent Green Street concerning my water supply. When I asked for clarification, expressing my confusion, she abruptly ended the conversation. Following this, I contacted Welsh Water to report the incident, only to learn that it was indeed a scam, with Green Street being merely one of the aliases being utilised. The caller had the audacity to address me by name, but I refrained from disclosing any personal information and continued to demand her identity, to which she finally responded with her initial claim. Welsh Water confirmed that this is part of a broader scam aimed primarily at the elderly, which I find particularly disconcerting as I’m 75 and certainly not naïve!

To all the commenters on this platform, I’d like to take a moment to clarify something. If you've taken a gander at our website, you'll notice that it explicitly mentions you can carry out these tasks yourself at no cost whatsoever. We've never claimed that doing this solo is off-limits. Yet, it seems many folks-statistics suggest around 70% of people in the UK-have yet to switch their energy providers. Prior to receiving that call, were you aware that you might be eligible for surface water refunds? Have you ever reached out to your water provider to reclaim what is rightfully yours? But our services go beyond that! We delve into every single bill associated with your household, including gas, electric, water, car insurance, home contents, life insurance-you name it, we cover it. If you receive certain benefits or credits, have you heard of Welsh Water’s "WATER SURE" programme? Probably not, unless you’ve inquired. This programme could potentially cap your bills at a mere £262. While some may label us a scam, I urge you to have a look at our website where you can find correspondence from Welsh Water themselves, confirming that they issue refunds after our assistance. We also offer Energy Performance Certificates, and there are various schemes out there that could qualify you for complimentary home improvements should you meet the necessary criteria. We take no issue with criticism-it’s a common aspect of our trade-but I implore you to conduct your research before voicing complaints. - Caller: Green Streak

I recently got a dodgy call that I suspect came from a Swansea call centre. They claimed to be from a company with a name like GreenStreet or perhaps GreanStreak-it was quite hard to catch, as they mumbled quite a bit! After a chat with my water supplier, they advised me to keep my cards close to my chest and not share any information with them. Apparently, Welsh Water/Dwr Cymru mentioned that you can access free inquiries directly through your own water provider. This outfit is trying to charge for something that should cost you nothing-be wary! The caller went by the name GreenStreet or something akin to that.

Got a bloke on the phone with a Welsh accent who was really rude, telling me I was being cheeky just for asking questions. I just wanted to know if it was a scam! Honestly, I’m not at all astonished that Green Streak has opted to avoid a presence on Facebook; the avalanche of complaints would undoubtedly bring their platform crashing down. However, the antics they seem to indulge in are certainly the talk of the town. What’s all this about a sudden emergence from behind the proverbial curtains? I’ve also noticed that the accreditations have mysteriously vanished from your website. They seemed to have been... shall we say, rather cynically 'leveraged’? Pray tell, don’t try to convince me that there’s been some sort of epiphany leading to a newfound commitment to transparency-such a notion would really stretch the limits of believability. My take? Quick payday, shut the doors, and scarper into the sunset. As a side note, your claim of “We will also place your number on the TPS register to stop unwanted calls to your home” never fails to tickle my sense of humour. "Oh Muriel, you're simply dreadful!"

My wife got a call from Green Streak offering discounted deals on water, electricity, boilers and such. They asked for £299 in advance but said it’d be refundable after about 4 to 8 weeks. She gave them her card info back in Feb this year, but since then, not a peep. No updates, no contact, nothing at all. Oh, how amusing! I can't help but ponder whether your other half ever glances at the reverse side of the water bill. You know, where it explicitly mentions, somewhere around page four, that individuals might actually qualify for a discount on their bill concerning surface water if it’s not channeled into the sewer system? Something along those lines, if memory serves me right. It strikes me as a tad implausible that they would simply hang up on that. Honestly, folks, do take a peek at the back of your statements; I recently bagged a refund of a hundred quid that way!

It's rather fascinating that the two most recent remarks were shared just yesterday. One can't help but suspect that they might be fabricated, possibly the work of someone harbouring a vendetta and lacking the more constructive pursuits in life-perhaps an ex-member of staff with a chip on their shoulder or simply someone who's feeling rather despondent???? There are numerous other con artists about, such as SynergyHES and REC-Audits, both hailing from Swansea, to mention a couple. It's all rather laughable, to be honest! They purport to be affiliated with Welsh Water but hilariously couldn’t even recall the Welsh name for it! 😂 To make matters worse, I’ve had this number since I shifted homes a decade ago, yet they’re still associating it with my old address from that time. What a right dodgy outfit! 🤦‍♂️

Had a rather peculiar phone call from these folks earlier today. They asserted they were affiliated with Welsh Water - funny thing is, they couldn't even utter the Welsh name for it, which had me in stitches! To top it off, I've had the same number since I moved a decade ago, yet they were still calling as if the old address was valid. What a right shambles! Definitely a dodgy operation if you ask me. - caller: Green Streak

How many more calls do these individuals need to make before they grasp the situation? I'm absolutely fed up with their incessant nuisance rings - it’s utterly maddening!

I don’t reckon the EPC is what gives you access to the funding; I believe it’s referred to as a GDA.

Blimey, it seems like you've got a rather thrilling existence if you're consistently posting under various guises on here! Are you perhaps someone who's had a bit of a rough deal with this business? If not, why not find a different thread to trawl? It’s a tad tiresome, to be honest. One has to wonder if you’re not secretly affiliated with a competitor... How amusing! Personally, I've noticed a similar pattern of negativity across several reviews, and it truly appears to be the same individual disparaging every positive comment that pops up. Fancy getting a hobby?

I just received a rather peculiar phone call. The caller was eager to chat with my husband about an outstanding water bill in Swansea. However, considering we don't reside there, I informed them that it didn't concern us at all. Quite the bewildering misunderstanding, wouldn't you say?

Dear Carol, Just a quick note to clarify things-regardless of the route you take, there’s definitely a fee involved. To secure funding for enhancing your home's energy efficiency, you’ll need to obtain a certificate that acts as proof of eligibility. Be prepared to shell out about two to three hundred quid for it, irrespective of which provider you choose.

Ensure your father’s registered with the Telephone Preference Service to minimise those pesky nuisance calls. I’ve come across a few call centres that flout the rules, so there’s still a possibility he might receive unsolicited calls. It's vital to keep him informed about steering clear of dodgy firms. You certainly had a stroke of luck engaging with a reputable call centre-thank goodness for that! Stay vigilant, folks!

It's quite pricey and there's no assurance that it will work out. I'm rather sceptical of those who ring out of the blue. It would be more cost-effective to do your own research and cover the EPC fees. There's a wealth of information available for free; just give the Citizens Advice Bureau a ring-why spend money unnecessarily? - caller: Swansea Green Streak

Last week, my father received a rather dodgy phone call. He unknowingly ended up sharing his card details and was charged £299.99. I'm still a bit puzzled about what exactly these people were offering, but it appeared to involve his bills in some way. Naturally, I wasn't pleased that they’d taken his information, so I promptly phoned them up, cancelled the whole affair, and managed to get a full refund for him.

Payment required for claims. I have my doubts about the positive reviews, as they appear to be promotional ploys, echoing similar sentiments across various platforms.

It's proper surprising to see that you can get a free boiler if your household earnings are below £15,000, and yet you can still purchase a home. Brilliant, isn't it?

A few weeks back, I had a chat with this firm while I was preparing to sell my property. I needed to obtain an energy performance certificate, and they sorted that out for me. On top of that, I've recently secured funding for a complimentary boiler in my new place! It seems like there's a tendency for folks to share negative experiences on these platforms, but I felt compelled to share a positive one since this company has truly delivered.

A comment from Paul.W states, "Not every business is a fraudster." Absolutely right! Not every firm resorts to frequenting online platforms to hawk their wares. However, it would be splendid if they could refrain from using the lowercase 'i' in place of 'I' and eschewing colloquialisms such as 'rung' and 'legit' in their advertisements.

I received a phone call from this company and initially chose to decline their proposal. However, upon doing a bit of research, I stumbled upon quite a bit of positive feedback regarding them. So, I took the plunge and called them back, thinking it might be worth exploring. Once I have some results, I'll make sure to provide a fair assessment of my experience. I’ve also been perusing various forums, so I’ll keep everyone updated with my findings. - Caller: Green Streak Energy.

If you’re considering it, do share your thoughts on Utilities Cost Savers and Residential Redress. They’re all under the helm of the director at Green Streak. It’s rather amusing, really-not quite the catchy tune of 'New York, New York', but they sure make a statement worth repeating... three times over! The phone call came from none other than Green Streak themselves!

Constantly ringing and raising valid concerns regarding the necessity of a landline number. It’s quite the clever tactic to keep their number under wraps while hesitating to provide their landline address. They seem to pay little mind to the Telephone Preference Service, and when pushed for clarification, they can be rather brusque. Yet again, it appears to be a caller hailing from Swansea, representing something like the workers' advisory line, particularly concerning hearing impairments in the workplace-identified as Green Streak.

TPS Breach. Seems a bit dodgy that this company, barely a month old, is suddenly getting rave reviews. It’s quite probable they’re raking in cash by helping folks with forms-think along the lines of PPI claims, accident compensation, or even passport applications. Honestly, you’d be better off tackling it on your own!

I recently had a rather positive experience with Welsh Water regarding some rebates and refunds for my gas and electric bills. They were exceptionally helpful and even provided me with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). I also managed to get a brand-new boiler installed, which I really needed! Just a heads up, there is a fee involved, but if you take advantage of the government funding aimed at improving your home's energy efficiency-as I did with my new boiler-they actually reimburse that charge. To be fair, I initially thought it was a bit pricey, but now that I’ve had my money back and then some, I can't complain at all. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the service! - Caller: Green Streak Energy, Swansea

When you peruse various forums dedicated to phone numbers, you’ll stumble upon a slew of favourable reviews touting impressive results. Curiously enough, most of these remarks appear to have been left around February 26, 2015, which is intriguing given that the company was only established in January of the same year. It certainly raises some questions about their miraculous effectiveness. Ultimately, it's up to you to form your own conclusions; after all, there's not much you can't figure out on your own. - Caller: Green Streak

Dear Carl, I hope you're well! I couldn't help but wonder about something you mentioned regarding receiving a refund. You stated you had already got your money back from them. I’m just a bit inquisitive - have those funds actually landed in your account? They’ve told me that once I’ve had my windows and other bits sorted, a full refund will be on its way. Just trying to gauge if you've had a smooth experience or if it's been a bit of a faff for you. Many thanks, David.

I received a call to arrange an Energy Performance Certificate and a thorough home assessment. After completing it, I’m thrilled to say I’ve qualified for the Water Assist programme! My annual water bill, which used to be a whopping £490, has now plummeted to just £256. On top of that, I’ve had cavity wall insulation installed and a brand-new boiler fitted, all at no cost to me. What a fantastic outcome - I’m absolutely chuffed! Cheers!

CAUTION: I’ve just had a rather dodgy call from someone claiming to represent Green Streak. They were offering me a refund on my water bill, but when I queried why Welsh Water hadn't informed me, they responded that they were short-staffed. When I mentioned I’d reach out to Welsh Water myself, they abruptly hung up on me. Be wary and don’t share any personal information over the phone! The number to watch out for is 01792 917768.

I don't usually engage in phone transactions (my grandson has strict rules about that), but I must admit, the chap on the other end was incredibly convincing and made me quite comfortable about sharing my information, despite the £299 fee. He went on about how he was calling from a BT registered landline and that it was somehow "traceable," and whilst I was hesitant, there was something about his tone that felt sincere. In hindsight, I’m rather pleased I went ahead with it because just this week, I received a £70 cheque from Dwr Cymru and £639 from Swalec! They've genuinely helped me save some funds, and I even obtained a certificate for government funding which they assured me I could use, promising I'd reclaim my admin costs. Initially, I was rather doubtful, thinking it might be a ruse, yet they've been absolutely reliable, always available on the phone when I needed assistance. I can now say I wholeheartedly recommend Green Streak Energy!

I recently received a call from a company that claimed they could assist me in reclaiming funds from both the water and electricity providers. They also mentioned a potential avenue for obtaining government grants aimed at improving energy efficiency in my home. Naturally, I took the time to do my homework online prior to giving any sort of consent, and to my surprise, their information seemed to check out - it’s all readily accessible in the public sphere. It's worth noting that not every business operating out there is up to no good; with a bit of patience and a thorough investigation, you can uncover quite a bit of legitimate help available.
