Some bloke with an Indian accent rang me up and kept messing up my surname when asking to speak. He claimed to be from the Windows licensing department and said my licence would be cancelled because I'd been using Windows wrong. I cut him off straight away and just blocked the number. From what I gather here, it sounds like a typical scam, probably trying to steal info or money. Most likely a dodgy call all round.

Somebody rang up saying they were from Windows support, telling me my system had been hacked and my IP was sending dodgy emails worldwide, then asked me for £50. I told them I don’t use Windows, I’m an Apple user. They got a bit angry and accused me of fibbing, insisting someone must be on Windows. I suggested maybe hackers were behind it. Then they threatened to shut down Windows on my device. When I asked how they got my number, they just cut me off.

some bloke rang saying he was from windows support, said there’s suspicious activity on my wifi. he asked how many gadgets I had connected, so I just worked it out quickly in my head and told him 17! he seemed lost when I said that, probably had no clue about alexa or whatnot. then he asked if I had a computer - seriously, why else would I have windows? he told me to type ‘apple’ into the search bar, I was like, are you mixing that up with a mac or something? he totally lost it after that and hung up. total muppet!

I received a rather unpleasant call from an Indian gentleman claiming he needed to cancel my Microsoft account. Honestly, his attitude was quite off-putting-he came across as both rude and rather uninformed. He had the audacity to insist that he couldn't wait around for me to verify my details, before abruptly hanging up on me. Quite the shocking experience!

Received a call on my mobile, but they hung up the second I picked up. If it’s a mate from Swansea, they’ll ring back; if not, that’s the end of that - I won’t be returning the call either way. I’ve got a sneaking suspicion it's just another scam. Based on what was mentioned earlier, they must be quite entertained! By the way, I steer clear of Microsoft products, despite this message giving off that Windows vibe. Just to clarify - it's not! :)
