Seemed legit at first, said they were doing a survey for a Housing Assoc. I’m linked to, asked if I was (my name)… exactly as on my bank card, with my middle initial, and it was a SATURDAY (they don’t work weekends). Plus, they said some info was missing about me. When “Angela” said it’d just take a few minutes, I had to say sorry, I’m busy right now, cos you never know who’s actually ringing on a landline. This one has me a bit puzzled. I got a call from this number on Sunday, a lady said they were conducting a survey about people's experiences with the Health Ombudsman. I do have an ongoing complaint with them, so maybe it's genuine. I told her I was having a bath, and she said she'd call again in a week. I've blocked this number, yet they persist in ringing me. Even after blocking, they’re still getting through to my voicemail without leaving anything behind.
I had a look online and found quite a few other folks raising similar concerns about this caller. It looks like they might be just another pesky telemarketer or possibly a scammer fishing for personal details.

They even had the cheek to call me over the weekend! It’s becoming incredibly frustrating at this point.

Got a call saying it was a survey from the MET police. They must have gotten info from somewhere because they knew exactly when I dealt with the police. Said they wanted a quick 15 minute survey about how I felt about the whole thing and when or how I got in touch with them. I told the guy with a thick Welsh accent that there wasn’t much to say. Someone called saying they were from Nottingham City Council, saying it was for a survey. They asked if anyone in my home was over 21 or over 55, then wanted my full postcode. When I didn’t give it, they just said alright, bye. Pretty obvious scam! Got a call from Jack claiming he’s with the local police doing a crime and safety questionnaire. He mentioned he was struggling to find people in certain age groups and asked if we had any guys between 40 and 54 or women aged 20 to 34 at home. Had a call from ORS doing a survey for MOPAC, connected to the Met and Mr Khan’s office about how things are around here. I answered honestly because it’s actually pretty calm where I live, but now I’m worried I might’ve made a mistake. If they think everything’s too quiet and decide to cut back police presence, I just know this place will go downhill fast. Next thing you know, there’ll be gangs of troublemakers stealing bikes and who knows what else happening right on our street. Seems like being too honest might backfire big time!

I gave this number a ring and it went straight to answerphone. Turns out it’s some survey outfit, asking loads of questions but going on forever. One week they want your thoughts on the police, next thing it’s something to do with the government. Honestly, not worth the hassle!!!

Today at 4:59 pm, a number 017928256444 called me saying they were from the Metropolitan Police. I told them my English isn’t great and asked if I could have a mate translate for me in Hungarian. She said she’d ring me again either this week or the next. No idea how they got my name, maybe from Facebook or something...

This number rings me like twice or three times every day. The last time was about 7:30 in the evening. When I do answer, all I hear is some weird huffing noise before they hang up. Not sure what it’s about, but I’ve stopped picking up now.

Got a call claiming to be from Sussex Fire & Rescue Service today. Seemed a bit off to me, didn’t sound like the usual official tone. Probably some sort of scam or wrong number. Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone else who might get this call.

A couple of days back, I got a call from this number. A lady spoke quite nicely, saying they were conducting a survey for the local police and wondered if I wanted to take part. I told her I wasn't keen, then she asked if she'd be able to ring again later. I said no, and she ended the call. Something about it felt off, plus I never do these random phone surveys anyway. So I looked up the number here and sure enough, it’s a scam!
