I didn't want to give my name until they said what the call was about. The guy claimed it was from "The Review Centre" and said he couldn't say more unless I confirmed who I was, other than it being to do with a current policy. Sensing it was just a call centre, I played along and said something like, "I've no idea what the Review Centre is or which policy you mean, so you tell me the policy and then I'll confirm if it's me you need." He came back all condescending like, telling me to just say "yes" and then he’d explain. I just ended the call.

My tip is simple, if a number calls you and it aint saved on your phone like from mates or fam, and a name pops up when it rings, just ignore it or hang up quick. It'll stop you stressing out and stop wasting the time of these annoying people.

I dont pick up calls from numbers I dont recongise, even if it is an important one they'll leave a voicemail or try another method to contact you. Just block them. Dont return the call as it could be some trick to make u pay for calling back. Now theyre using 0800 numbers and local landline ones that make you think its someone you know. Our number is unlisted but somehow they still manage to ring us ?? Thankfully for these websites and the option to block calls through our phone providers, both landline and mobile. Just block em.
